Sports/Trading card signed: "Al Cowens". Color, 2½x3½. 1975 Topps Baseball Card, #437. Alfred Edward "Al" Cowens, Jr. (1951-2002) was an American MLB right fielder who played for the Kansas City Royals, California Angels, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners between 1974 and 1986. Debuting with the Royals on April 6, 1974, Cowens had an incredible 1977 season, batting .312 with 23 home runs and 112 RBI. That same season he went on to win the 1977 Golden Glove, and he came in second to Rod Carew in voting for the American League MVP Award. Cowens was known for having a violent rivalry with the Chicago White Sox reliever Ed Farmer. Fine condition.
