Former synagogue singer and successful black-faced café and vaudeville entertainer AL JOLSON (1886-1950), starred in the first talking picture, Warner Brothers' The Jazz Singer, in 1927. RUBY KEELER (1909-1993) was an actress and Broadway dancer and Al Jolson's wife from 1928 until their divorce in 1939. After her divorce from Jolson, she almost retired from show business until appearing in a Busby Berkeley revival of No, No Nanette at the 46th Street Theatre in New York City, which ran 861 performances from Jan. 19, 1971 to Feb. 3, 1973. Lightly toned, soiled and creased. Adhesive residue on verso, with paper loss on front. Right edge has been torn neatly from a larger sheet or album. Names (unknown hand) at bottom margin.
