written and staged by the performer. Alan Dinehart (1889-1944) was a frequent B-movie
villain. When he wasn't actually guilty of wrongdoing, he was cast as a likely suspect or as
an unlamented victim. (Examples include Bureau of Missing Persons (1933), Charlie Chan
at the Racetrack (1935) and Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm (1938)). Dinehart also had a
distinguished stage career, acting, directing or stage managing nearly 30 Broadway plays
between 1918 and 1941. Markings on verso. Signature faded but still legible. Otherwise, fine
condition.
