ALAN KOSS The actor pens a letter in black ink to the C.E.O. of the Gallery of History, Inc. Autograph Letter signed: “Alan Koss” in black ink, 8½x11. No place, 2 December 1986. To “Dear Mr. Axelrod”. In full: “Sorry it's taken so long to respond to your request of 20, July 1984. My wife and I were moving things around and doing some renovating, and your letter got put in a box which has just now been opened. I'm sorry, too, that I'm not exactly an “Important personality in the entertainment field.” What I am is a working actor - a guy lucky enough to make a living most years, doing something he usually has a helluva lot of fun doing. That work is comprised of industrial films, voice-over and radio commercials, and a shot now'n then on a TV series episode. My most viable role has been as a minor recurring character on “Cheers” for five seasons./ Hope the project you wrote of worked out for you./ Sincerely”. Alan Koss (b.1938) is a longtime television actor, best known for his role as “Alan” on the popular sitcom Cheers from 1983 to 1993. He also had roles on the successful television programs Three's Company (1977), Cagney & Lacey (1983), The Golden Girls (1989), and Falcon Crest (1988-1990). Koss has had a few films roles as well, including parts in Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Wavelength (1983), and Fire and Ice (1983). Creased near top edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
