Rachins (born 1942) is one of the more passionate and versatile
professionals in the entertainment business. After quitting college and moving
to New York to study acting, he performed in a number of Broadway and
off-Broadway productions - including the controversial Oh!
Calcutta. In 1972, he was accepted at the American Film Institute in
writing and directing-going on to sell scripts to an array of shows including
Hill Street Blues, Fall Guy, Hart to Hart and Knight
Rider. Ultimately returning to the performance side, Rachins won Emmy and
Golden Globe nominations for his recurring role in L.A. Law
(1986-1994), and is still seen in syndication of Dharma & Greg
(1997-2002). Rachins has appeared in a long series of features and
television movies, continually adding to the list. Ink note on verso (no show
