specializing in early American history, particularly colonial America, the
American Revolution, and the Early American Republic. He tends to focus on the
micro history of the time periods, best exemplified with his Pulitzer Prize
winning William Cooper's Town: Power and Persuasion on the Frontier of
the Early American Republic. Most recently, Taylor won the 2014
Pulitzer Prize for his book The Internal Enemy: Slavery and War in
Virginia: 1772-1832. Fine condition.
