Signature: “Al Bano” in blue ink, 5x3. Albano “Al Bano” Carrisi (b. 1943) is an Italian
singer who also worked as an actor, and even tried his hand at winemaking. In 1966, he
made his debut as a singer at the Festival delle Rose. Then, in 1968, he won the Italian song
contest Disco per l'Estate for “Pensando a te”. In the same year, his “Nel sole” became a
massive hit, selling over a million copies and earning gold disc status. Shortly after, he
formed a duo with then-wife Romina Power, and the two performed together for several
decades. In 1996, Al Bano resumed his solo career, and continued to enjoy immense
popularity. In fact, he has sold over 165 million albums to date. Lightly toned. Otherwise,
