Envelope signed: "Albert/Finney", in black ink, 5¾x3¾. Addressed to Charles Abramson.
British actor Albert Finney (1936-2019) trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art,
appearing mostly in Shakespearean stage productions in the 1950s. He won immediate film
acclaim for his performances in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960) and Tom
Jones (1963), the latter earning him the first of four Oscar nominations for Best Actor
(the others were for Murder on the Orient Express, 1974; The Dresser, 1983; and Under
the Volcano, 1984). In 2000, Finney got a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Erin
Brockovich. His second wife was French actress Anouk Aimee. Corners lightly worn and
creased. Light surface creases. Ink notes (unknown hand). Lightly soiled. Otherwise, fine
condition.
