Inscribed signature: "Albert Wolff", 5½x3¼ card. One line inscription in French above signature; two-lines of writing (in French, not translated) beneath signature. Dated: "Paris 4th Jan 58" by the composer at lower margin. Magazine photograph, b/w, 2¼x3, affixed at left margin. Imprinted caption affixed at lower margin: "Veteran French conductor Albert Wolff has recorded Overtures in Hi-Fi, operatic overtures in brilliant performances with the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra, on both monaural and stereo for Decca, reviewed this month on Page 8". French composer and conductor Albert Louis Wolff (1884-1970) toured worldwide, and he was also heard on a number of orchestral and operatic recordings. Between 1934-1936, Wolff composed the music and conducted for several films, including Divine (1935). Lightly creased at blank corners. Lightly soiled and stained at blank areas. Photograph is lightly rippled from mounting. Mounting remnants and glue stains on verso (minor show through at blank areas). Overall, fine condition.
