ALBERT MOSES
The actor pens a letter sharing a story from filming what he at the time felt was his most
important role
Autograph Letter signed: "Albert Moss" in black ink, 1p, 8¼x11¾. No place, 1984 September
9. On the actor's personal letterhead. Original mailing envelope, 9½x6½, included. No
greeting. In full: "The most important role I have played so far is that of "Saddrudin" in the
James Bond movie "Octopussy"; as the Head of intelligence in India./ I had to ride a three
wheeler Motor Cycle which is a common task in India; only the one I had to ride was official built
for stunt work. Being a good rider myself I had no problem getting used to the three wheeler after
many hours riding in a park in Udaipur in India where we were filming./ One the day of filming;
a camera, the director, the cameraman and focus puller were in a vehicle hooked to the three
wheeler I was riding with Roger Moore as my passenger. No one was aware at the time that the
vehicle I was towing was heavier than the three wheeler, all went well on the flat road but when
we came to a downhill, my three wheeler with Roger Moore in it was pushed down hill straight
into a wayside stall. We all escaped unhurt but very badly shaken./ There is no doubt all
concerned will remember this incident always". Albert Moss (b. 1937) is an actor originally
