Schweitzer, theologian, philosopher, physician and music scholar, was awarded the 1952 Nobel Peace Prize for his humanitarian work in Africa. He had founded Lambaréné Hospital in French Equatorial Africa (now Gabon) in 1913. Bank stamps on verso and cancellation holes, not at signature. Light vertical fold touches the "a" in Paley. Lightly soiled. Staple holes at upper left corner, light paper clip impression at mid-left edge. Overall, fine condition.
