Alcoa Premiere titled "The Dark Labyrinth"; the series, hosted by famed
dancer and actor Fred Astaire, presented a new drama with each week's episode.
PATRICK O'NEAL (1927-1994) could play positive roles, like the
well-intended intelligence officer in The Kremlin Letter (1970),
or negative ones, like his sycophantic careerist of In Harm's Way
(1965) or the chief villain of The Stepford Wives (1975). He
co-starred in one TV series, Dick and the Duchess (1957-1958), and made
many guest appearances, including numerous SF-type roles (One Step
Beyond, The Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Night
Gallery). He starred in the Broadway debut of Night of the Iguana
(1961), but lost the movie role to Richard Burton. O'Neal was co-owner of
several fashionable New York restaurants. He was married from 1956 until his
death to actress Cynthia O'Neal. SALOME JENS (b. 1935) appeared in 11
Broadway plays between 1956 and 1971, culminating in the title role of
Mary Stuart in the latter year. In film and TV supporting roles since
the late 1950s, she has had recurring roles on the series Mary Hartman,
Mary Hartman, Falcon Crest, The Adventures of Superboy (as
Martha Kent, 1988-1992), Melrose Place and Star Trek: Deep Space
Nine (as the female Changeling leader). Her most recent film to date is
A Place for Heroes, in post-production as of May 2013. Corners rounded.
