ALEKSANDR IVANCHENKO. Nuclear Test Ban Treaty facsimile signed: "A. Ivanchenko" in Russian, 1p, 8½x11. On parchment-like paper. Depicts the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and image of JFK, 5-cent US JFK and 5-cent UN Cessation of Nuclear Testing stamps affixed at lower margin, pictorially postmarked United Nations, New York, October 23, 1964, FIRST DAY OF ISSUE of the UN stamp. Cosmonaut Ivanchenko flew to the Salyut 6 space station on Soyuz 29, returning to Earth aboard Soyuz 31 (June 15 - September 3, 1978). During a spacewalk on July 29th, a meteor passed below him, blinding him for several seconds. Ivanchenko also flew aboard Soyuz T6 to and from the Salyut 7 space station (June 24-July 2, 1982).
