Thank you very much for sending it to me. Sincerely yours," A Russian air ace in World War I, de Seversky (1894-1974) came to the United States in 1918 and founded the Seversky Aircraft Corp. (forerunner of Republic Aircraft), manufacturing pursuit planes, notably the P-47. Member of the National Aviation Hall of Fame, Seversky invented various airplane devices including abombsight. His book advocating reliance on strategic bombing to win World War II was turned into an influential Disney documentary film in 1943, with Severesky in a starring role. Normal mailing folds. Toned.
