Canadian actor Alexander Knox (1907-1995) was best known for his portrayal of American President Woodrow Wilson in Darryl F. Zanuck's 1944 biopic. Knox won the 1944 Best Actor Golden Globe Award for his performance and was nominated for the same Oscar category. Knox made his American debut in 1941 in The Sea Wolf and gave an outstanding performance in This Above All (1942) before making Wilson. Knox appeared in a number of other feature films, including The Longest Day (1962), You Only Live Twice (1967) and Gorky Park (1983), as well as made-for-television films including Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (1979) and Helen Keller: The Miracle Continues (1984). Rod Taylor (1930-2015) made his film debut in the Australian film The Stuart Exposition (1951) and his Hollywood debut in The Virgin Queen (1955). His long list of feature films includes Giant (1956), Separate Tables (1958), The Time Machine (1960), and The Birds and A Gathering of Eagles (both 1963). Taylor also appeared in a number of television movies and several series, including Hong Kong (1961), The Oregon Trail (1975), and Outlaws (1986). He starred in the Australian comedy Welcome to Woop Woop (1997), and, in his final screen role, played Winston Churchill in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009).
