The Solicitor General of Tasmania signs this fragment from the end of a letter
Autograph Fragment signed: “[two lines of text difficult to decipher]/ Alfted Dobson Esq”, in iron gall ink, 5x2. Alfred Dobson (1849-1908) was elected Solicitor General of Tasmania in 1887. Previously he served as Attorney-General in the Fysh Ministry (1877-1888), leader of the opposition (1883-1885), and as Speaker from 1885-1887. In 1901, he was made Agent-General for Tasmania. Corners clipped. Toned. Ink text on verso from the letter written by Dobson. Otherwise, fine condition.
