ALFRED MARKS
A rare 4¼x6¾ photograph of the actor inscribed to a fan
Inscribed photograph signed: "To Annie, Yours/Alfred Marks", in blue ink, B/w 4¼x6¾. British comedian and actor Alfred Marks (1921-1996) began his entertainment career at the Windmill Theatre, but did not begin seriously performing until several years later, performing in stage productions such as The Sunshine Boys and Fiddler on the Roof. He debuted on television in Don't Look Now (1950), and went on to appear in several other series, including his own show titled Alfred Marks Time (1956). Later in his life, he began to act in operas, including Gilbert and Sullivan's The Yeomen of the Guard (1982). Inscription in poor contrast, but legible. Corners slightly worn and creased. Slightly faded in some areas. Edges slightly worn. Otherwise, fine condition.
