Typed letter signed: "Alfred P. Chamie", in black ink, 1 page 8½x11. Hollywood, California, January 13, 1965. In full: "Notice of annual meeting of the members of the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Producers, Inc. The annual meeting of members of the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers, Inc, a California Corporation, will be held in the Board Room of the Corporation, 8480 Beverly Boulevard, Hollywood, California on Wednesday, January 27, 1965 at 2:30 p.m. 1. To elect a Board of Directos; and 2. To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting. The annual meeting of the Board of Directors of said Association of Motion Picture and Televison Producers, Inc., will be held at said office of the Corporation, immediately following adjournment of said annual meeting of members, for the following purposes: 1. To elect officers of said corporation for the ensuing year; and 2. To transact all such other business as may properly come before the meeting.". Alfred P. Chamie (1909-1992) served as the Vice President and Secretary of the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Producers. Joining the Association in 1948, he worked for the company for 30 years, retiring in 1978. That same year he was named by President Jimmy Carter to the American Battle Monuments Commission for his years served as national commander of the American Legion. He was named the 1966 Man of the Year by the Hollywood chapter of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States (the same year this letter was written). Corners and edges worn and creased. Normal mailing folds. Otherwise, fine condition.
