ALIAS JESSE JAMES MOVE CAST: BOB HOPE and RHONDA FLEMING
Bob Hope and Rhonda Fleming sign a black and white publicity photograph of a scene from their movie Alias Jesse James.
Photograph signed: "Bob Hope" and "Rhonda Fleming". B/w, 10x8 overall, image 6x4 (one surface). Hope and Fleming are pictured in a scene from their 1959 film, Alias Jesse James. BOB HOPE starred as Milford Farnsworth, an insurance agent whose sales are so miserable that his boss sends him out West. He manages to sell a $100,000 life insurance policy to outlaw Jesse James (Wendell Corey) and, in an attempt to get the policy back from the "high risk" gunslinger, finds himself mistaken for James. RHONDA FLEMING co-starred as "The Duchess", the beneficiary to James' policy, who helps Hope avoid being killed so James could collect on his own policy. The inevitable shoot-out with the James Gang featured some of the most recognizable stars and western heroes of the day: Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Gary Cooper and Bing Crosby appeared as themselves, while Jay Silverheels was in character as Tonto, Hugh O'Brian appeared as Wyatt Earp, Fess Parker played Davy Crockett, James Arness was cast in his Matt Dillon role, Ward Bond was Major Seth Adams and James Garner appeared as Bret Maverick. Ten years earlier, Hope and Fleming had been teamed in another film, The Great Lover. Slightly creased (most not evident head on). Fine condition.
