Sheet Music inscribed and signed: "Maran -/Always/Alice Faye"
on front cover, 4p, 9x12. Sheet music for the song, "You'll Never Know",
words by Mack Gordon, music by Harry Warren. The song was featured in the
1943 film, Hello, Frisco, Hello, which starred Faye (as Gertrude "Trudy"
Evans), John Payne, Jack Oakie and Lynn Bari. In 1943, Faye was also seen
on the big screen in The Gang's All Here. Alice Faye (1915-1998) was
a chorus girl who rose to movie stardom in such films as In Old
Chicago (1938), Rose of Washington Square (1939) and Tin Pan
Alley (1940). She also co-starred with husband Phil Harris in a
popular radio comedy series. Semi-retired thereafter, Faye remained popular on
TV and in nightclub appearances. Ink slightly smudged at the "ce" of Alice.
Lightly creased, touching Payne's facial image. Slightly soiled at light areas.
Name written (unknown hand) at upper left beneath banner. Otherwise, fine
condition.
