beautifully with a small smile and signing the production company L-KO

Alice Howell (1886-1961) was a female slapstick comedian and silent film

Pictures. Contributing to the genre for 13 years, she has been noted by
several prolific comedians (including Stan Laurel) as a pioneer of the
genre, and has a cemented place in silent comedy history. Large crease
through center of photograph, tearing at upper margin. Surface creases
throughout. Corners worn and creased, esp. top and bottom left corners. Edges
