Autograph Note Signed: To Elsie/with every good/wish./Allan Jones. 4x5 printed card from the
club Lamaze in connection with an appearance by Myrus-the Wizard of Mental telepathy.
Elise was his wife. ALLAN JONES (1908-1992), a star of Broadway and film musicals of the
1930s and forties, made his screen debut in Show Boat (1936). From the 1937 film Firefly
came his hit song, "Donkey Serenade". He is best remembered for his romantic roles in two
Marx Brothers productions: A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races. After his film
career he toured with stage companies in such productions as Man of La Mancha. Card lightly
toned. Otherwise, fine condition.
