The author gives the recipient advice on how best to send him a book for signing

To "Dear Mr. Stanhope". In full: "Your enclosed letter and stamps have been forwarded to me
from Tiburon, where I shall not be returning until March 1. I believe I wrote earlier, and I must
insist, that I can sign no further books unless they are sent to me with a stamped, self-addressed
Jiffy Bag for return. Jiffy Bags are available at any stationery store. Sincerely". Drury has made
two minor ink corrections to the text. Drury (1918-1998), a veteran journalist who covered
the U.S. Senate for "The New York Times", published 18 novels, including Advise and

top center. Otherwise, fine condition.
