ALLEN GINSBERG. Photocopied Typed Biography signed: "Allen
Ginsberg/Feb 20, 1978/Port Washington L I" in ink on first page, 3p, 8½x11,
separate sheets. Biography is updated through 1977. Final 1¼ pages are a list of
his writings. Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997), a Buddhist and critic of
materialism, was the "poet laureate" of the 1950s "Beat Generation" and
spokesman for the counterculture of the 1960s. His poem "Howl" (1956) was
vindicated in an obscenity trial and went on to great popularity. Another poetry
collection, The Fall of America, won the National Book Award (1974).
Staple holes at upper left. Normal, minor flaws for a photocopy of that era.

fine condition.
