a recital by her at Symphony Hall
Program signed: "Alma Gluck" in pencil, 4 pages, 6½x9½. Program
for a performance of the New York Philharmonic at Symphony Hall, 1924 October
26. On verso are a printed photo and an illustration of Gluck, announcing her
own Symphony Hall performance on October 18. Romanian-born operatic soprano
Alma Gluck (1884-1938) performed with the Metropolitan Opera and gave
concert performances throughout the US. She was the wife of famed
violinist Efrem Zimbalist, and the mother of actor Efrem Zimbalist, Jr.
Soiled and creased. Corners chipped and edges worn. 1" tear 3" from bottom
at center fold. Horizontal fold crease. Photo of Landowska coming loose (two
surfaces).
