ALPHA BLAIR
Dated in 1984, Blair provides a handwritten 3 page biography of her experience as a model, actress and photographer
Autograph biography signed: "Alpha Blair" 3 page, 8½x11. No place, August 17, 1984. To "Dear friend" in part "At the age of four, I decided, with a determination that turned out to be rooted in steel, that I was going to be an actress 'when I grew up.' When my mother asked why I had made this to-her-appalling-but-to-me-joyful choice, I answered, 'So I can live many different lives in one.' That made perfect sense to me then, &, now that I am-in a manner of speaking-'grown up,' it still does..." Alpha Blair is an American actress, model and photographer who had her most active spurts during the 1970s and early 1980s. With only 6 on-screen credits (most of which are guest-appearance or other non-title roles), Blair didn't make much of an impact on the highly competitive Hollywood scene. Still, she appeared in a few noteworthy productions, including the popular 70s TV series The Waltons (1974) in which she played a school girl. As a photographer she is much more successful, earning a shooting career with Playboy at the age of 22. She has also photographed some of the most coveted stars of our time, including Tennessee Williams who posed in a reflective portrait for Blair while working on the play Small Craft Warnings (which Blair acted in, 1972). Fine condition.
