Original Art Signed: "Andrea King/ 1980", in blue felt tip, 5¾x7¾. Pen and ink drawing. Headed: "My Doodles". The actress has drawn five faces with different expressions, captioning each of them "Life". French-born actress Andrea King (1919-2003), born Georgette André Barry and sometimes credited as Georgette McKee, landed a Warner Bros. film contract in 1944. Primarily known for her femme fatale roles, King appeared in an impressive number of films and made guest appearances on several television shows. King's acting career began on stage; she was in a number of Broadway plays, including Life with Father in which she played the role of Mary Skinner. A handful of her notable film credits are as follows: Hollywood Canteen (1944), Hotel Berlin (1945), God is My Co-Pilot (1945), The Beast With Five Fingers (1946), My Wild Irish Rose (1947), The Lemon Drop Kid (1951), Darby's Rangers (1958), and The Linguini Incident (1992, made after a 19-year absence from the big screen). Lightly creased. Light show-through from design on verso of sheet touches lower 2 circles. Otherwise, fine condition.
