Typed letter signed: "Andrea Mitchell" in black ink. 1 page, 7¼x10½. Written on NBC News letterhead. Washington, D.C. November 12, 1979. Address to Eddie and Betty Sousa of Union City, California. In full: "I hope you'll forgive the long delay in my responding to your kind letter. The press of energy news has kept me hopping all spring and summer. It was only recently that I had time to go to our home office in New York and have some photographs taken. I'm very flattered that you would want me in what sounds like a very impressive collection. Thank you for the invitation to stop by if I'm ever in South Lake Tahoe. It sounds like a beautiful location. I only hope that my assignments take me there some day so that I can see for myself. I hope you continue to watch NBC News. It is always a great pleasure to hear from viewers, especially those who like what we're doing! Sincerely".
