ANDREW McMAHON
The founder of Jack's Mannequin signs their The Glass
Passenger CD pamphlet
Pamphlet Signed: "Andrew McMahon/[drawn star] " 5x5, 14
pages. Musician Andrew McMahon (b.1982) is the lead vocalist and pianist
of popular pop punk bands Something Corporate and Jack's
Mannequin. McMahon formed Something Corporate in early 2000 with
former high school friends. After more than five records the band slowly
dissolved by 2004. In late 2004, McMahon formed a solo project (Jack's
Mannequin) after Something Corporate had agreed to go on a break after many
months of touring. The band's named was derived from a song about a childhood
friend who was diagnosed with leukemia. On June 1, 2005, he
was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia himself. In December 2005, he
played a private show celebrating the 100th day of his Stem Cell Transplant
- his first concert in nearly six months. In 2006 he founded The Dear
Jack foundation for cancer research. A documentary called "Dear Jack"
followed in 2009 showing the struggles he had during the leukemia. As of this
date Jack's Mannequin still performers. Signature in poor contrast but
legible. Fine condition.
