ANDREW PRINE
Short note from Prine announcing his appearance in an episode of
Dallas, handwriting at the bottom margin for fans to write the producers
to urge them to continue his role
Autograph note signed: "Andre Pine", in black ink, 6x8. In
full: "If you want to help me continue with this role write the Dallas
producers 3970 Overland Ave Culver City Calif 90230". Andrew Prine (b.
1936) has been comfortable in both high quality plays and films, like the
Pulitzer Prize-winning Look Homeward Angel and the Oscar-winning The
Miracle Worker and in exploitation films (The Centerfold Girls). Many
of his films have been Westerns, like Chisum (1970, made with friend John
Wayne) and other action films (The Devil's Brigade, 1974). He was seen
frequently on TV Westerns when that genre was at its peak, and is still going
strong in the new millennium (CSI, Boston Legal). It's hard
to name a popular series, from Dallas to Star Trek, in which he
didn't appear. Prine played ill-fated Confederate General Richard Garnett in
Gettysburg (1993). Paper clip crease on top margin. Slight surface
creases. Corners slightly worn and creased. Otherwise, fine
condition.
