ANDROMEDA STRAIN MOVIE CAST - TYPESCRIPT SIGNED CO-SIGNED BY: MICHAEL CRICHTON, DAVID WAYNE, ARTHUR HILL - HFSID 180879

THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN: MICHAEL CRICHTON, DAVID WAYNE and ARTHUR HILL
Typescript excerpted from the novel, signed by its author and by two stars of the film
Typescript signed: "Michael Crichton", "David Wayne", "Arthur Hill", 1 page, 8½x11. Opening paragraphs of Crichton's novel, The Andromeda Strain. MICHAEL CRICHTON (1942-2008), a graduate of Harvard Medical School, wrote popular novels which combined his scientific knowledge with a flair for the dramatic. The Andromeda Strain (1969), the story of a lethal virus brought back to earth by a space probe, was a bestseller, made into a film in 1971. A long string of novels followed, many of which were made into films, like the hugely successful Jurassic Park and its sequel, The Lost World. Crichton was also a screenwriter, writing and directing Westworld (1973) and winning an Emmy for his work on the hit TV medical drama ER. DAVID WAYNE (1914-1995) and ARTHUR HILL (1922-2006) co-starred as leaders of a medical team combating the killer virus in the film version of The Andromeda Strain. Wayne won the first Tony Award in 1947 for his role in Finian's Rainbow. Starring opposite Marilyn Monroe in two films (We're Not Married, 1952; How to Marry a Millionaire, 1953), became a TV regular whose appearances included the title role in the detective series Ellery Queen (1975). Hill also won a Tony (for Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf (1962) and also starred on television (as Owen Marshall - Counselor at Law (1971-1974). Fine condition.
