PGA Tour Pro Set trading card signed by Andy Bean
Sports card signed "Andy Bean" in blue ink. 2¼x3½. 1991 PGA Tour Pro Set card no. 190 with stats on verso. ©1991 PGA Tour, Inc. Bean, born Thomas Andrew Bean in Lafayette, Georgia in 1953, was part of the University of Florida's NCAA Championship golf team in 1973 and won the 1974 Eastern Amature and 1975 Western Amateur before he went pro in 1975. Bean's won 17 pro tournaments since then. None of them were major tournamements. However, he did come in one stroke behind champion Tom Watson at the 1983 British Open, tying for second with Hale Irwin. He was also on the American Ryder Cup team twice, including the victorious 1979 team. Pen skipped while signing signature, which is lightly smeared in places but legible. Edges are lightly scuffed on verso. Otherwise in fine condition.
