On official congressional letterhead. To “Dear Mr. Pruett”. In full:As you requested, I have attached an autographed photo for your classroom bulletin board and study of your “Our Government” class./ I am glad to have been of assistance to you./ Sincerely”. Angelo Dominick Roncallo (1927-2010) was a Republican congressman who represented the 3rd congressional district of New York from 1973 to 1975. After attending Peekskill Military Academy, Roncallo earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College in 1950. In 1953, he received his J.D. from Georgetown University. He then served in the U. S. Army from 1944 to 1945. Once he was admitted to the New York bar in 1955, Roncallo began practicing law in Massapequa, New York. From1965 to 1967, he was a city councilman for Oyster Bay. Roncallo then became comptroller in Nassau County (1968-1972). He was a first a delegate to the New York State Republican convention (1968) and then a delegate to the Republican National Convention (1972). Roncallo was elected to the 93rd Congress, but was not reelected. Following his career in politics, Roncallo became a justice on the New York State Supreme Court (1977-1995). Lightly toned. Some faint creasing near top edge. Otherwise, fine condition.
