performance of "A Season of Italian Opera" (British tour). ANGELO ROSSI was an operatic
signer who trained in Florence at the Teotro Communale school. He played the role of
"Cavaradossi" in a showing of Tosca at the Teatro Eliseo in Rome. Known for his radio and
television performances, FERNANDO BANDERA was a popular performer in both the
United States and Italy. In the program it reveals that the role of "Santuzza" from the opera
Cavalleria rusticana was LAURA UBERTI's favorite to play. Uberti sang on various stages of
note in several continents. ENZO CECCHETELLI was a student of the famed Italian actor/
director Ruggiero Ruggieri. He is well-known for his performance of the role of "Canio" in
the opera Pagliacci. ANNA LEONELLI was a soprano who had the honor of being selected by
Menotti as inspiration for the role of "Monica" in his two-act opera The Medium.
EDGARDO DI STASIO has performed at the San Carlo, Naples as well as the Massimo in
Cagliari and the Santa Cecilia in Rome. GUIDO MALFATTI (1930- 2015) was a baritone
who performed throughout Europe in the mid-twentieth century. He appeared in productions
of L'amico Fritz, Carmen, Macbeth, and Otello. Furthermore, many of his performances were
recorded for posterity. LUIGI TAVOLARI was a tenor who has performed on the stages of
principal theatres across Europe and South America. ANDREA MINEO, winner of The
International Contest, often performed on TV and in movies. He made his debut in Rome in
1953. Husband of to the soprano Maria Grazia Ciferri, Mineo played many different roles,
some of which include "Germont", "Sharpless", "Malatesta", and "Belcore". AUGUSTO
FRATI was a bass operatic singer. MANRICO DE TURA was a conductor. He studied at the
Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi, Milan and eventually conducted at many important venues
including the Teatro dell'Opera and La Scala in Milan. De Tura has also collaborated with
esteemed composers Giordano and Mascagni. Pronounced vertical crease at center. Lightly
worn and creased throughout. Final two pages only held together at bottom staple, and a
result the 4th page has a 3-inch tear along fold. Otherwise, fine condition.
