10x8. The 1995 film Angels and Insects follows the story of a
young couple, and their aristocratic family, in the 1800s. MARK RYLANCE
(b.1960) is a British director, playwright, and actor. His first appearances
were in small-time productions of Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet as a
child. After gaining experience in the acting arena, Rylance auditioned for a
scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, which he
won. He began his professional career on the stage at the Glasglow Citiens
Theatre. After a few performances on the stage, he made his onscreen debut after
being cast as Nikki Fodor in the television movie Wallenberg: A Hero's
Story in 1985. He has continued to act on the stage in productions such
as Boeing-Boeing (2009) and Jerusalem (2011).
However, Rylance has also continued to appear in movies and television series
including Angels & Insects (1995), Intimacy
(2001), The Other Boleyn Girl (2003), and Blitz
(2011). His accomplishments include becoming the first Artistic Director
of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre until 2005, and winning an award for his role as
Dr. David Kelley in The Government Inspector (2005). KRISTIN
SCOTT THOMAS (b. 1960) is a television and film actress who found her start
in the 1984 French television series Les enquêtes du commissaire Maigret.
Though born in the United Kingdom, Thomas considers herself more French than
she does British. During her career she has been cast in over seventy-five
titles including Agent Trouble (1987), Bitter Moon
(1992), Angels & Insects (1995), The Valet,
(2006), and more recently her role as Jeanne Germain the 2012 film In the
House. Her most notable on stage performance is her part in the 2008
production of The Seagull, however, she has been cast in multiple
productions at London's West End Theatre including Betrayal
(2011). Fine condition.
