ANGIE DICKINSON
Photograph of Dickinson in a soft white sweater with glittering
earrings, inscribed to a fan with "Love" (4x5)
Inscribed photograph signed: "To David/Love-/Angie/Dickinson".
B/w, 4x5. Angie Dickinson (b. 1931) acted in a few "B" Westerns
before making her way to film's A-list after being cast by Howard Hawks in
Rio Bravo (1959). Her big screen credits include Point Blank
(1967) and Dressed to Kill (1980), and Dickinson made several made-for-TV
movies, including Jealousy and A Touch of Scandal, in which she
appeared in 1984, the year she signed this photograph. Dickinson is perhaps
best remembered for her role as Sergeant Suzanne "Pepper" Anderson in the TV
series Police Woman (1974-1978), for which she won a 1974 Golden
Globe (she was also nominated in 1975, 1976 and 1977). Dickinson, who once
had her legs insured by Lloyds of London for publicity purposes, was married
to composer Burt Bacharach from 1965-1980. Corners slightly worn. Ink notes
(unknown hand) on verso. Fine condition.
