ANN JILLIAN
Ann Jillian pens a biography on personal letter head and signs it in black ink.
Autograph Biography signed: "Ann Jillian/[drawn heart]", 1p, 8½x11. No place, 1984 September 3. On personal letterhead. In full: "The first time I set foot on a stage, was at the age of 4 - a Lithuanian function in Cambridge, Mass. Since then 'luck', my family, and some very nice people have been there to see me through such projects as Babes In Toyland, Gypsy, Hazel, Broadway's Sugar Babies, It's a Living, my own pieces Jennifer Slept There, Ellis Island, to name a few. But the 'most special' movie I've done to date, was that of Mae West, in which I played the title role of, 'Mae'! I considered it an honor & a thrill to play this legendary lady. Perhaps she was smiling on me (I'd like to think so) because my portrayal of her earned me an Emmy nomination! I bring her character with me after to Las Vegas in my nightclub act . . . A Constant 'Thank You' to that giant little lady & major star, Mae West! Love-" Ann Jillian, born Ann Jura Nauseda in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is an American actress with over 40 movie and film credits (as of this biography) since 1960. She's probably best known for her role as Cassie Cranston in the sitcom It's a Living (1980-1982 and 1985-1989) and for her triumphant role as Jillian in the Tony-nominated revue Sugar Babies, which ran for 1,208 performances from 1979 to 1982 on Broadway.
