Sale Price $288.00
The actress who starred in the 1939 epic Gone with the Wind signed this black and white photograph of her posing on a diving board over the pool
Photograph Signed: “Ann Rutherford”. 8x10. B/w. Actual image 7½x9½ with a thin white border (one surface). Ann Rutherford (1917-2012) gained minor stardom as Polly Benedict in MGM studio's Andy Hardy series throughout the 1930s. She was allowed to display her perky comic gifts in a trio of 1940s mystery-comedies co-starring Red Skelton (Whistling in the Dark, Whistling in Dixie, Whistling in Brooklyn), and was quite appealing as Carreen O'Hara in Gone With the Wind (1939). She closed out her film career in 1950 to devote more time to her private life; thereafter limiting her screen credits to guest appearances on television shows such as Climax! (1954-1958) and Perry Mason (1957-1966). Other film credits include the Danny Kaye film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947) and Pride and Prejudice (1940). Lightly bowed. Otherwise, fine condition.
