Photograph signed: "Best of luck/Anna Lee." B/w, 8x10 overall,
image 7¼x9¼ (one surface). British actress Lee (born Joanna Winnifrith in 1913)
is best known to daytime TV audiences as Lila Quartermaine on the ABC soap,
General Hospital. The stage and screen actress moved to Hollywood in
1940, where she made a number of films, including How Green Was My
Valley (1941), in which she starred as Roddy McDowall's sister-in-law,
Bronwyn Morgan. Her other feature film credits include You're In the Army
Now (1941), The Flying Tigers (1942), The Ghost and Mrs. Muir
(1947), Fort Apache (1948), This Earth is Mine (1959), What
Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
(1962), The Unsinkable Molly Brown (1964), The Sound of Music
(1965) and In Like Flint (1967), and Lee has also appeared in a number of
made-for-TV films. Corners creased. Pencil note (unknown hand) and
