The Tony Award winning actress sends a biographical form to John

Autograph letter signed: "Anna Manahan", in black ink, 7¼x10½.
June 9, 1968. In part: "Dear Mr. Wills, I feel very privileged to be
asked to appear in Theatre World + I apologize for the delay in sending in my
data to you but I waiting for some photograph + they are long overdue [items
not included]". Anna Manahan (1924-2009) is an actress of film and
stage, beginning with minor roles in television and film. She later got
recurring roles on television, including Mrs. Kennefick/The Mammy in Me
Mammy (1968), Mrs. Cadogan in The Irish R.M. (1983)¸ and
Ursula Cruise in Fair City (2004). She was also successful on
Broadway, being nominated for a Tony for Lovers (1969), and
winning a Tony and Theatre World Award for The Beauty Queen of Leenane
(1998). John A. Willis (1916-2010), active in Theatre World from
the beginning, became its chief editor in 1965, holding that position until
2008. Willis is regarded as one of the foremost theatre and film historians
of the 20th century. While producing (and presenting) the annual Theatre World
Awards, Willis also served on the nominating committee for the Tony Awards.
Theatre World, which received its own Tony for Excellence in
Theatre in 2001, continues under chief editor Ben Hodges. Tear on right
