The Italian actress and singer signs a program for her guest starring appearance as Marietta D'altena in a Phoenix production of Naughty Marietta.
Program signed: "Anna Maria/Alberghetti" on front cover, 4p, 6¼x9¼. Program for Naughty Marietta at the Phoenix Star Theater. The play, which starred Alberghetti in the title role of Marietta D'altena, co-starred Lester James, Jack Goode and Dorothy Keller. Italian singer and actress Anna Maria Alberghetti (born in 1936) made her film debut in The Medium in 1951, and she would appear in a number of films, including Here Comes the Groom (1951), The Last Command (1955), Duel at Apache Wells (1957) and Cinderfella (1960), and on several TV series, as both a singer (she made over 50 appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show) and as a guest star. Her TV credits include appearances on Studio One (1948), The Colgate Comedy Hour (1954), Letter to Loretta (1956, 1957), Checkmate (1960), The Jerry Lewis Show (1963) and To Rome with Love (1970), and Alberghetti was also seen in the 1976 televised version of Kismet. She returned to films in 2001, starring in Friends and Family and The Whole Shebang, and Alberghetti has also enjoyed a successful career on stage. In 1962, she earned a Tony Award for her Broadway performance in Carnival (1961). Slightly creased. Fine condition.
