Actress apologizes to John Willis, editor of Theatre World, for belatedly sending her and her husband's biographical information
Typed letter signed: "Anna Minot" in blue ink. 1 page, 8½x11. November 28, 1980. In part: "Dear Mr. Willis, Much to my dismay I recently came across letters from you at Theatre World, both to my husband Joseph Warren and myself, requesting photographs and/or biographical data; they were buried in a messy carton of unsorted 1978 income tax material and I know my own office-keeping too well to say that I can't imagine how they got there. I hope it isn't presumptuous to apologize for any apparent discourtesy (it's obviously our loss not to have put this material in your files), and I must at least exonerate my husband as I recall that in his absence from New York I undertook to take care of this; pictures of both him and of me are enclosed, together with my filled-in biographical form. Cordially". Anna Minot (Warren), (1918-2002) appeared on and off Broadway in classic plays like O'Neill's The Iceman Cometh, and was a member of the Pearl Theatre Company for 20 years. Seen frequently in the live TV plays of the early 1950s, she was in the cast of As the World Turns from 1966 to 1970. She was married to actor Joseph Warren from 1950 until his death in 1993. Normal mailing folds. Light surface creases. Light toning. Otherwise, fine condition.
