Contract signed: "Anne Bancroft" and "AB" eight times. 9 pages, 8½x11. No place. Date: September 27, 1960. Independent [sic] Contractors Agreement between Roncom Productions and Ann Bann Enterprises for Bancroft's appearance as Guest Artist in Perry Como's Kraft Music Hall, airing January 19, 1961, for $7500. She has initialed each page containing minor ink amendments or strikeovers. Anne Bancroft (1931-2005) proved her mettle as a serious dramatic actress by winning a Tony for Two for the Seesaw in 1958. Two years later, she won her second Tony and a New York Drama Critics Award for her portrayal of Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker. Armed with these triumphs, Bancroft returned to Hollywood to appear in the movie version of The Miracle Worker (1962), reprising her role opposite Patty Duke who played Helen Keller. Her performance earned her an Oscar for Best Actress. She also won an Oscar nomination for her role in the landmark film The Graduate, playing Mrs. Robinson, the ultimate "older woman". Soiled. Staple holes in upper left. Curiously, the document's printed title is misspelled. Fine condition.
