Actual image 7½x9½ with a thin white border (one surface). Anthony England (b. 1942) is a NASA astronaut who has completed over 3,000 hours of flying time and nearly 200 hours in space. He graduated from MIT with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in 1965, earning a Ph.D. five years later. In 1967, England became the youngest-ever candidate to be selected by NASA to join the space program. As a scientist-astronaut, England had to put in some time learning how to fly at Laughlin Air Force Base. As part of the STS-51-F mission, he operated Spacelab systems to carry out several experiments over the course of 126 orbits of Earth. After his retirement from NASA in 1988, England became a professor and served as a dean at the University of Michigan's Dearborn campus. Fine condition.
