Autograph Note signed: "Dear Len/My best/Anthony/Quinn", 3½x4. Mexican-born actor Anthony Quinn (1915-2001) portrayed peasants and other memorable, earthy characters in a 65-year film acting career. He earned Academy Awards as Best Supporting Actor for Viva Zapata (1952) and Lust for Life (1956), and Quinn was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar for Wild is the Wind (1957) and for his most fondly remembered role as the title character in Zorba the Greek (1964). The second of Quinn's memoirs, One Man Tango (1997), was candid and apologetic about events in his tempestuous private life. Quinn was also a talented painter. Pencil notes (unknown hand) on verso state that this autograph was obtained at the Savoy Hotel on June 20, 1973.Irregularly cut. Fine condition.
