No date, no place. In full: “What is it I like to play best? Which is my favorite part? I like human tragic-comic parts the best- like Lady in Orpheus Descending by T. Williams which I played years ago. I love collaborating and working under my husband- Andres Castro. Being an actress is all I wanted to be- acting is all I want to do-“. Antonia Rey (b. 1927) is a Cuban-born American actress. She married director Andres Castro in 1958. Rey is best known for her cameos in movies like Jacob's Ladder and King of the Gypsies, as well as the TV-movie pilot for Kojak entitled “The Marcus-Nelson Murders”. She has also appeared on television shows such as Who's the Boss?, Third Watch, Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In 2003, she received the HOLA Lifetime Achievement Award through the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors. From 2000-2010 she provided the voice for Abuela on the animated children's show, Dora the Explorer. Lightly toned. Corners slightly rounded.
