Rare partly printed DS: "Antonin Dvorak," 1 page, 8-3/8x3-1/8. New York, 1893 April 30. In full: "Received from The National Conservatory of Music in America, Nine Hundred & Thirty seven 50/100 Dollars for April salary." The Czech composer is best known for his symphony in E minor, From the New World, composed in 1893. He is noted for success in adapting folk music to serious Romantic music. Dvorak was the director of The National Conservatory of Music from 1892-1895. Light soiling at lower right corner. Tiny nick at upper right edge, overall, fine.
