To “Dear Sir” In French, translated in full: “I would be delighted to receive you in my studio Wednesday the 21st in the afternoon from 1 to 6 or Thursday the 22nd in the morning from 9 to 12. Waiting for the pleasure of meeting you/ Warm regards”. Antony Troncet (1879-1939) is most known to modern audiences for his nude artwork, including "Standing Nude before the Lake", "The Bather", and "Un moment de repos". Proponents of his oeuvre praise the life-like nature of his work, remarking on the almost photographic detail the artist is capable of depicting. Faint horizontal fold. Wax pencil note on top left corner. Corners slightly worn and creased. Slightly toned. Minor staining along top margin. Otherwise, fine condition.
