The stage and screen actress signs her name for a fan in purple ink
Inscribed signature: "To Bob -/ Arline Judge/ '34" in purple ink. 5x3 index card. Arline Judge (1912-1973) was an American actress with over 50 TV and movie credits between 1931 and 1964. Judge got her start in her teens as a Broadway chorus dancer. She got a chance to show off her comedic talents in George White's Scandals (1935) and with Jimmy Durante's stand-up act. Judge, a comedienne who usually had wisecracking roles, is remembered less for the string of B-movies that she put out and more for the string of eight husbands that she married and divorced between 1937 and 1960. She mostly retired from movies in 1949 and spent the rest of her career doing day work in commercials and as a guest star on TV. Toned and slightly soiled. Light surface creases. Corners rounded. Otherwise, fine condition.
