Autograph Sentiment signed: "Truly Yours/Arnold Daly", 5½x2¾ paper. Seen frequently on Broadway stages from 1899 to 1926, Daly (1875-1927) championed the plays of George Bernard Shaw, producing, directing and acting in several of them. (Mrs. Warren's Profession closed on opening night in 1905 when police raided the theater and arrested the entire cast.) In silent films, Daly starred in two series, featuring the pulp fiction detectives Craig Kennedy and Ashton-Kirk (1914-1915). He died of burns sustained in a fire in his New York apartment. Vertical crease through "o" of Arnold. Stained. Jagged at bottom edge.
